Sulzer has introduced the launch of the world’s biggest medium-consistency pump, the MCE93-400, which has been built in response to customer demand for greater production rates in pulp mills.
The pumping of liquids with a excessive dry solids content material – medium consistency – is crucial for processes within the pulp and paper industry.
In recent years, production rates have spiralled. As a end result, Sulzer developed the MCE93-400 for a customer venture with record-breaking values.
The capacity of the pump reaches as a lot as 10,000 air dry metric tonnes per day with the flow up to 940 l/s and the head as much as one hundred eighty m. The MCE pump is designed for a stress ranking of 25 bar.
Jussi Heinonen, product supervisor for MC gear at Sulzer, said: “The new MCE93-400 has been designed to function efficiently, saving vitality, water and chemical costs in pulp and paper mill processes. ที่วัดแรงดันน้ำ of the pump minimise its life cycle prices.”
