Hayward Tyler Inc and its sister company Energy Steel have been awarded multi-million dollar contracts to help the ITER challenge in France.

Hayward Tyler’s contract covers variable drive booster pumps whereas Energy Steel will provide 62 solenoid valve and cubicle packages.
The ITER challenge is a joint worldwide research and development challenge to show the scientific and technical feasibility of fusion power. The demonstration facility is beneath development in St-Paul-lez-Durance in France, and will be the largest fusion experimental reactor in the world.
Hayward Tyler’s booster pumps shall be an integral a half of the drying system for the Tokamak Cooling Water System (TCWS). The pumps shall be designed, built and tested at Hayward Tyler Inc in Colchester, Vermont, USA.
