Atlas Copco has agreed to purchase Lewa GmbH and Geveke BV and their subsidiaries from Japan’s Nikkiso Co Ltd in a €670 million deal.
Founded in 1952, Germany’s Lewa manufactures diaphragm metering pumps, process pumps and complete metering techniques. The company employs round 1200 people and had 2021 revenues of €233 million.
“Lewa has an extended tradition of supporting customers and growing leading industrial move expertise for efficient, exact and protected handling of fluids,” said Andrew Walker, president of Atlas Copco’s Power Technique Business Area. “Through this acquisition we’re building our presence and know-how offering inside optimistic displacement pumps.”
Geveke, which was based in 1874, distributes compressors and engineers superior and complex process pump installations. The company is headquartered in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, has 173 staff and had revenues of approximately €61 million in 2021.
“Geveke has strong engineering functionality, offering full industrial pump solutions from idea to commissioning,” stated Atlas Copco’s Walker.
The acquisition is anticipated to be completed through the second quarter 2022.
The major part of the acquired companies may have its base within the Power and Flow division inside Atlas Copco’s Power Technique Business Area and a smaller half will join the Service division inside Atlas Copco’s Compressor Technique Business Area.
