THE CHALLENGE
The Innhavet RAS plant has thirty-four fish tanks of various capacities (92,000 to 264,000 gallons) in 5 separate main sections. Each section is impartial from the others and consists of its own full water treatment system in a semi-closed loop (98 p.c recirculation plus 2 % make-up water). The brackish water from the fish tanks first flows by gravity to a rotating drum filter for the elimination of the primary suspended stable particles.
