KSB has introduced the completion of its US$44 million multiphase expansion of the GIW facility in Grovetown, Georgia, USA.

The first two phases of the expansion have been permitted in 2013 in response to rising market demand for larger gear. Since then, the Grovetown facility has completed upgrades, added tens of hundreds of square ft to its foundry, elevated furnace capability, completed building on a distribution centre, and won approval for three additional phases of enchancment.
With the completion of the challenge, KSB has quadrupled its capability to mildew castings over 20,000 lbs (9000 kg), elevated its most pouring output by as a lot as sixty six,000 lbs (30,000 kg), decreased the variety of required shot blast runs by 50%, added special cleaning stations for large castings, carried out new know-how and efficiency solutions, and doubled employee locker room amenities.
KSB went ahead with the project’s completion, despite the Covid-19 pandemic and its financial fallout.
