Hayward Tyler Inc and its sister company Energy Steel have been awarded multi-million dollar contracts to support the ITER project in France.

Hayward Tyler’s contract covers variable drive booster pumps while Energy Steel will supply 62 solenoid valve and cubicle packages.
The ITER challenge is a joint worldwide research and development project to reveal the scientific and technical feasibility of fusion power. The demonstration facility is beneath development in St-Paul-lez-Durance in France, and would be the largest fusion experimental reactor in the world.
Hayward Tyler’s booster pumps will be an integral part of the drying system for the Tokamak Cooling Water System (TCWS). The pumps shall be designed, constructed and tested at Hayward Tyler Inc in Colchester, Vermont, USA.
Hayward Tyler and Energy Steel are both a half of the Engineered Pumps and Motors Division of Avingtrans plc.
