Amarinth provides API 610 pumps for the West Qurna-2 enlargement venture in Iraq

Amarinth has delivered two separate orders of API 610 pumps, collectively worth £1.2 million, for the West Qurna-2 enlargement project in Iraq.
One of the Amarinth API 610 OH1 pumps with specialist Plan 53B seal support system prior to cargo to Cannon Artes.
West Qurna-2, located approximately sixty five km north-west of the seaport city of Basra, is likely certainly one of the world’s greatest onshore oilfields. The enlargement challenge is predicted to increase the oilfield’s production capacity from the present four hundred,000 barrels oil per day (bpd) to 480,000 bpd, with a goal to achieve a total production capacity of 800,000 bpd by 2025.
The first order, from Cannon Artes, was for seven tremendous duplex API 610 OH1 pumps. The bespoke designed pumps are for a low shear software and required specialist Plan 53B seal support systems incorporating air cooled seals and stainless-steel accumulators. All electrical objects had been IECEx certified to be used in an ATEX Zone 2 hazardous area. Despite the worldwide Covid-19 pandemic through the design and manufacture, supply was achieved in the required time of just 32-weeks from order.
The second order, from SICIM, was for three super duplex API 610 OH3 vertical in-line pumps for produced water therapy. The giant pumps had impellers of over 500mm diameter and the casings, that weigh 1.5 tonnes, were cast in a foundry within the UK. Plan 53B seal help systems had been designed to fit inside a constrained footprint and as a end result of the pumps have been destined for an ATEX Zone 2 space, the motors, seal help methods, and instrumentation have been IECEx certified. Witness testing and inspection was undertaken by Bureau Veritas and a full legalised Iraq documentation bundle was delivered with the pumps. Delivery was achieved on a short 38-weeks, despite the global Covid-19 pandemic.
Oliver Brigginshaw, managing director of Amarinth, said: “We are delighted to have delivered these pumps to the West Qurna-2 growth challenge, further underlining our commitment to tasks in Iraq and the Middle East. pressure gauge วัด แรง ดัน have successfully delivered orders previously to Cannon Artes, but this was the primary order Amarinth has acquired from SICIM, and we look forward to undertaking additional business with them in the future.”
